The ocean needs us — not the other way round
Over 70% of Earth is ocean. They produce more than half of our oxygen, regulate the climate and harbour an extraordinary diversity of life. And yet they are damaged every day by plastic waste, underwater noise, industrial fishing and climate change.
Ocean Insight exists because we believe knowledge is the first step towards protection. When children and adults discover a new ocean animal every day, a connection forms — and from connection comes responsibility.
But knowledge alone isn't enough. That's why we committed: 30% of our net revenue goes directly to OceanCare — an organisation that has proven for over 35 years that active marine conservation works.
An organisation we trust
OceanCare (Switzerland) is an international marine conservation organisation holding consultative status with the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). Their work covers the protection of marine mammals, the fight against underwater noise, sustainable fisheries and combating plastic pollution.

Simple, transparent, quarterly
Calculation example: With net revenue of €1,000 in a quarter, we transfer €300 to OceanCare — automatically, backed by a bank transfer confirmation and a donation receipt.
The process
- Quarter close: At the end of each quarter (March, June, September, December) we calculate net revenue from the App Store and Google Play.
- Calculation: 30% of net revenue (after platform fees) is determined as the donation amount.
- Transfer: The amount is wired directly to OceanCare. We publish the wire confirmation and OceanCare's donation receipt in the table below.
- Publication: Within 14 days of quarter close we update this page.
What counts as revenue?
We count all premium in-app purchases and subscriptions (after deducting Apple/Google platform fees). Ad revenue (AdMob) will be reported separately once it becomes material.
